Survey Says . . .

The response to the survey I posted regarding school calendars has been wonderful.  I think it is becoming clear what the majority in the community desires with both questions I asked.

First in regards to the preference on how to make-up days missed due to weather the clear choice of the community is to eliminate all early release days including June 10 and 11th.  I am encouraged to support this option when it comes before the School Board at our next meeting.

The second question I asked was regarding your thoughts about Veterans Day.  The results of the survey for that question was fairly definite as well.  A majority of those that responded feel it is important for the school division to observe Veterans Day as a school holiday.  At our next School Board meeting we do have the 2016-2017 school year calendar on our agenda for final approval.  I will express the thoughts of the respondents to my survey.
